About Bee Creative
Approximately 10 years ago I started upcycling furniture, this is how I discovered @frenchicpaint.
I was asked by a customer if I could add some birds to a coffee table, so I soon discovered the delights of decoupage.
I had to put upcycling on the back burner due to an old back injury but was able to continue with decoupage. Starting with slate coasters then progressing to placemats and as they say the rest is history. Acle Crafts was born in 2018 when I started attending craft fairs, the first being one at Lingwood Village Hall which is close to where I now live.
I met Dee and Tracey who now help in my shop while attending Craft Fairs, I will be eternally grateful to them both.
In March 2022 I had a pop-up shop here in Wroxham Barns in the unit that is now Just Sew Small. I got to know Tim from Coastal Glass who was in the unit next door and that Christmas I heard that Tim was retiring after 30 years. I sent a quick email to the office asking if the unit was going to become available as I had been looking for workshop space.
In February 2023 I collected the keys and Bee Creative at Wroxham was born. I moved from Acle to Lingwood and then 2 weeks later opened the shop!
It has always been a dream that if ever I was lucky enough to have my own shop I would like to become a stockist for Frenchic and I am happy to say that has become a reality.
One year later, we are building a wonderful client base, welcoming customers old and new and I have started to hold classes in both Decoupage and Upcycling, which I thoroughly enjoy.
